West Market Church in it's current form has existed since 1898 when the traditional sanctuary was completed. The church expanded over the years to include an education building and experienced upgrades to give better access for anyone experiencing mobility issues. Our church is equipped with daily handicapped parking and additional parking for Sundays and special events, 2 elevators as well as an adult changing table on the third floor in the men's bathroom for larger children and adults with special needs. Read below and click on the map images for more detailed information.
Our building is equipped with two elevators, one accessed on John Wesley Way and one accessed by parking in the Federal Building parking lot on West Market Street. Both entrances are wheelchair accessible but the Federal Building only allows parishioners parking access on Sundays. Click the image for a detailed map.
Parking for handicap
We have limited handicap spaces on John Wesley Way but reserve more on special occasions. On Sundays, the Federal building allows parking in their gated lot off of West Market St. This gives easy access to our ramped entrance on that side with a nearby elevator. Click the image for a detailed map.
adult changing table
Our church hosts a respite care program called Buddy Break which allows families of special needs individuals a few hours to get away once a month. Due to the popularity of this program, an adult capacity changing table has been installed on the 3rd floor to accommodate adults or larger children.
