Welcome to the Nursery
Whether you’re thinking about stopping by for just one Sunday or you’re interested in sticking with us for a while, we’re glad you’re checking out the West Market Church nursery program. The following are a few things that could be helpful to know before you get here.
Where are the Nursery Rooms Located?
WMC nursery rooms are located on the second floor in rooms 221, 224 and 226. This is easily accessible from both of our worship spaces. Indoor signs will direct you to the nursery location and will mark the age level of each classroom to help you know where to go.
Where Do We Check in?
On your first visit your child’s classroom teacher will ask you to provide important information about your child on a one time registration card. Once entered into our system, we ask that you sign in your child(ren) using our computer security system each week. The computer security system is located at a kiosk in the hallway outside of the nursery rooms. Here you will check in your child and print a name tag and parent label for your child(ren). Upon pick up a parent or guardian must show this label. For maximum security please do not send friends or relatives (including older siblings) to pick up your child.
What Will My Kids Experience?
Your kids will experience relationships with classroom teachers and age appropriate programming, learning the story God and the teachings of Jesus. Our nursery currently uses Orange First Look, which is a program with monthly themes that introduce children to Bible stories and Christian principles in fun and age appropriate ways.
Children are separated based on development and age; a baby nursery for those not walking (221), a toddler and 2-year old room (224) and a 3 to 5-year old room (226).
How Will You Notify Me If My Child Has a Problem?
When you sign in your child you will be asked to provide your cell phone number and reminded to keep your cell phone with you and on vibrate. In the event that your child has a problem, you will be contacted via the number you provided.
When Do I Pick My Kids Up?
You can pick your children up in their respective areas after the services or Faith + Fellowship hour.
