West Market Church grieves with the Greensboro community in the death of five children at the Summit and Cone apartment complex in an apartment fire. We have offered sympathy by taking flowers from worship to the site of the fire and to Rankin Elementary where two of the children were students. We continue to pray for the father Emanuel and the mother Furaha as they grieve. Although we do not know them personally, we are in relationship with families in the complex through our Congolese Bible Study and Choir that meets at WMC on Sunday afternoons. We hope to continue to respond to ongoing needs in that community.
