The Ecumenical Season of Creation begins September 1 and runs through October 4. It's a great time to celebrate creation through acts of service. Several opportunities are available in our community or nearby with many being great for families to participate in together.  

The Big Sweep
Groups or individuals choose a clean up site and a date (any day between Sept 1-Oct 18), secure supplies from Gateway Gardens, and dispose of collected trash at the end of their event. This movement is sponsored by Greensboro Beautiful. Learn more through the button.

The Big Pick
The county’s annual volunteer harvest event to pick and donate fresh produce for those in need all throughout our community. The event is held on the last weekend in September and the first weekend in October (weather permitting).

+ Participants & Groups can pick one or both dates
