12. Jesus speaks to Mary, John. John 19:25-27

25 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26. When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, "Woman, here is your son," 27 and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

I saw a black and white photo of a huge, very old magnolia tree with limbs reaching horizontally far wider than the height of the tree and I thought “How are those huge limbs being held up?” It made me think of the Tree of Life. If you look closely, you may see Jesus on the cross in the middle of the tree trunk and the rocks at the base reaching up like Mary and John.

Even though it was a dark day, He can’t help but bring light and color into the world. It comes from the love the Creator.
