Congregational Care & Hospitality

You don’t have to be a member of West Market Street UMC to receive the love and support that’s available to you. But it does require the commitment of people within the church to be aware of and involved in the care of the congregation and our radical hospitality efforts. Opportunities abound for anyone wanting to get involved. For more information, contact Associate Pastor Jeremy Benton, at jeremy@westmarketchurch.org.

  • Congregational Care Team

Do you have the gifts of compassion, empathy, and nurturing? Are you willing to reach out to our members and friends who are ill, living alone, or going through a difficult time? We invite you to prayerfully consider joining the Congregational Care team. We need each other!

  • Radical Hospitality Team

Do you enjoy making others feel welcome? We are looking for people with the gift of hospitality to reach out to our guests, prospective members, and neighbors to help them connect to the life and ministries of our church. We would love to have you join us in providing radical hospitality!

  • The Encore Team

West Market Street UMC seeks to be in ministry with older adults by providing opportunities for Worship, Learning, Fellowship, Faith-Sharing, and Service that help older adults relate to God, continue to grow in their faith, and be actively involved in the life of the church.

  • Visual Arts Team

The Visual Arts Team seeks to enhance the faith life of members and visitors through art exhibits, opportunities to create art, and art appreciation. Our mission is to develop a collection of quality visual art with the capacity to teach, inspire, and express truth and spiritual meaning.
