Do GOOD! Help Support Six Local Food pantries

All non-perishable food items and on-site financial gifts will be donated to Aggie Source Food Pantry, Greensboro College Pride Pantry, and Spartan Open Pantry, which benefit Greensboro-area college students experiencing food insecurity.

Cash prizes from our Adult Egg Hunt will be distributed to 6 local non-profits that support food insecurity - Aggie Source Food Pantry, Backpack Beginnings, Greensboro College Pride Pantry, Greensboro Urban Ministry, A Simple Gesture, and Spartan Open Pantry.

FAQs

WHO CAN COME?

All families with children are welcome!  Our activities will be geared toward toddlers through upper elementary.  We’ll also have our Adult Egg Hunt at 4:15pm!

IS THERE A COST TO PARTICIPATE?

This is a free event!   It is our hope that participants bring non-perishable food donations to be a blessing to our neighbors.  We’ll also have QR codes available for anyone who’d like to support our partner food pantries financially.

WHAT ARE THE EGG HUNT SCHEDULES?

Egg hunts for children will be at 3:00pm, 3:15pm, 3:30pm, 3:45pm, and 4:00pm.  Upon arrival, please gather near the rainbow arch to drop off your food donations, be welcomed by our greeters, and receive your scavenger hunt instruction sheet.  Our MC will announce the start of each egg hunt.  There will be a smaller roped off area for children ages 3 and under.  An adult, team-based egg hunt benefiting local hunger organizations will be at 4:15pm (children and spectators are welcome to cheer the teams on and watch as the winners are announced!).

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THE ADULT EGG HUNT?

Will there be candy inside the eggs?

Option 1: Bring non-perishable food donations on the day of the event to receive an entry ticket to the Adult Egg Hunt which will begin at 4:15pm.

Option 2: Make a financial donation to our “Egg Hunt for Good” designated fund – all financial donations will be split evenly and distributed to our partner food pantries – NC A&T’s Aggie Source Food Pantry, Greensboro College's Pride Pantry, and UNCG’s Spartan Open Pantry.  Please print your receipt and bring it to the event for your entry ticket.  Online giving will be available soon!

Please note: Entry tickets are only required for the adult egg hunt at 4:15pm.  Prior to 4:15pm, you can visit our “Connections Impact Zone” tent to sign up to be on one of our 6 teams and given instructions before having lots of fun! Our six teams will support: Aggie Source Food Pantry, Backpack Beginnings, Greensboro College Pride Pantry, Greensboro Urban Ministry, A Simple Gesture, and Spartan Open Pantry.

Instead of candy-filled eggs, kids will trade in their eggs to create a treat bag with prepackaged sweets and other non-edible goodies.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

Our rain date is Sunday, March 29th. If we need to use the alternative date, we will post it here and on social media.
