Join our Traditional Music Director Dreama Lovitt in an exploration of the global variety of hymns, spirituals, and songs of praise. A monthly series presented by The Hymn Society of North America and Canada, this second seminar will feature Japanese traditions of hymnody with hymn researcher Dr. Yasuhiko Yokosaka and hymn writer Makihiko (Mack) Arase. A brief discussion will follow the viewing of her lecture as we contemplate congregational song in its depth and variety of styles and cultural traditions. We’ll meet in Room 319.
