Don't let the pandemic stifle your inner musician! Join Dreama Lovitt and Catherine Crowder for this crash course in ringing Handbells and Handchimes in Bell Room 316. With five sessions offered, we will guide you through the basics of music-making in this unique, physical, and kooky-fun genre. Experience with reading music is suggested, but not required. Each participant will have his or her own table, bells, gloves (provided), and mask (bring your own). Windows will be open and an air filter will be running. Other than stringed instruments, piano, and percussion, it doesn't get safer than this to make music. Experienced ringers looking to refresh their bell techniques are also welcome, as we cover everything from basic ringing to four-in-hand to bass bell techniques and more!
