The Visual Arts Team is excited to announce its latest exhibit, "Remember the Ladies," opening on Sunday, June 28, in the gallery space outside the church library. This exhibit, postponed when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 1920 passage of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. Included are framed pictures of suffragists, colorful illustrated pieces, and historical narratives. In addition, the library will have a selection of books to engage both young readers and adults, as well as a display of interesting artifacts purchased from the North Carolina Museum of History. Visit this wonderful exhibit and learn more about the long-fought battle to secure women's voting rights.
