At-home collection drive

Beginning Feb 15th and continuing throughout Lent, we are asking church members to participate in an at-home collection drive to make care bags for Cone Health Rehab Specialists. Each week we will publish a theme (that correlates with the upcoming Passion Play study), scripture for reflection, and a specific item to collect for your care bags. This will all be published in the church e-newsletter and posted on our social media pages weekly. We encourage those on social media to post about their participation and share the graphics using the hashtag #wmclent21. On Good Friday the bags can be dropped off at the church and we will then deliver them to Moses Cone!

The care bags need to include:

• medium-sized gift bag (for the items to go in)

• reusable water bottle

• hand written/made card of appreciation

• small spiral notebook

• one $5 gift card to either Starbucks or Target

• one bottle of unscented hand lotion

• one stick of Chapstick

• a few individually wrapped snacks (crackers, chips, candy)

• some homemade cookies, brownies, or cinnamon buns placed in a Ziploc bag
